CCA Overview
The Indian Dance CCA at Xishan Primary School provides students with a platform to explore the rich cultural heritage and vibrant art form of Indian dance. Through regular practices and performances, students learn a variety of dance styles.
Beyond developing dance techniques, students cultivate important values such as self-discipline, respect and resilience as they practise movements, master choreography and work together as a team. Guided by dedicated instructors and teachers, students are encouraged to express themselves creatively while building confidence on stage.
Key Learning Experiences
Students in the Indian Dance CCA participate in a variety of enriching experiences that allow them to develop both artistically and personally.
Showcasing their talents at school events and celebrations, such as the school’s Prize-Giving Day celebration, where they demonstrate teamwork, discipline and dedication.
As part of their Values-in-Action efforts, our dancers performed at the Nee Soon East National Day Celebration, sharing the joy of dance with the community and embodying the school motto of Love, Care, Share.
The Indian Dance CCA welcomed prospective students and parents during the school’s Open House and CCA Bazaar. Through performances and interactions, our dancers shared their passion for the art form and inspired others to join.
During weekly training sessions, our dancers practise techniques, refine choreography and support one another in their learning journey, building self-discipline, resilience and strong teamwork.
Through these experiences, students learn to persevere through challenges, demonstrate resilience and respect, while taking pride in representing the school and contributing to the community through their performances.
